From March 1st to March 7th, 2027, the city of Verona hosts the third edition of the Agorà Lyric World International Competition. The event, organized by the cultural association Agorà, takes place at the Circolo Ufficiali Castelvecchio.
The 2027 edition is dedicated to the internationally renowned soprano Maria José Siri, who will also chair the jury. The competition aims to bridge the gap between academic training and a professional career in the opera world, offering young singers the chance to be heard by industry professionals, including superintendents, artistic directors, and casting managers from major Italian and international opera houses, as well as renowned artist agents. As stated by Agorà President Federico Residori, the initiative serves as a vital connection between emerging talent and operatic productions.
