Palazzo Trentini, located at Via Gianantonio Manci, 27 in Trento, hosts the photographic exhibition “Alcide De Gasperi. Album 1946. The Summer of Choices”. The exhibition is open to the public from September 26th to September 27th, from 09:00 to 18:00.
The exhibition retraces the crucial months of the summer of 1946, a decisive moment for Italy’s reconstruction under the leadership of Alcide De Gasperi. Through a selection of photographs and historical documents, the exhibition illustrates the profound transformations of that period: from the introduction of women’s suffrage to the institutional referendum, from the birth of the Republic to the Paris Peace Conference. A specific focus is given to the agreement of September 1946, which laid the foundations for the protection of the German-speaking minority in Alto Adige-Südtirol and for regional autonomy.
