Bill Stewart Trio: the essence of jazz in Mantua

On October 16, 2026, the city of Mantua hosts an unmissable event for jazz enthusiasts. The Bill Stewart Trio performs in a concert that celebrates the evolution of modern jazz, echoing the vibrant atmospheres that emerged in the late 1950s.

On stage, drummer Bill Stewart is joined by Larry Grenadier and the incandescent new name on tenor sax, Walter Smith III. This ensemble serves as both a performance and a tribute to the central role of instruments pioneered by John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins in the stylistic evolution of today’s jazz.

The evening offers a precious opportunity to immerse oneself in sounds that blend expressive warmth with technical precision, all set within the evocative historical backdrop of Mantua. We invite you to check the full program via the official Mantova Jazz channels to enjoy a high-profile cultural experience.
