On the evening of Ferragosto, Mantua prepares for an appointment of rare emotional intensity. As part of the MM Le Bellezze Ritrovate festival, the evocative Piazza Leon Battista Alberti will host a concert by the Brigata Corale 3 Laghi, an ensemble that has preserved and passed down the heritage of folk singing for over fifty years.
The program, scheduled for August 15th at 9:00 PM, traces a path through peasant history, performing pieces ranging from work songs to love ballads, and the narrative tales that once marked daily life. Under the direction of Maestro Maurizio Giovanelli, the thirty-two choir members will breathe new life into an oral culture of extraordinary wisdom, carefully harmonized to offer the audience a refined and profound listening experience.
