From February 23 to February 27, 2027, Verona hosts the play “Cari genitori” at the Teatro Nuovo. Nominated for Best Comedy at the 2022 Molières, this production arrives in Italy following its significant success in France.
The story focuses on the Gauthier family: parents Jeanne and Vincent and their children, Pierre, Jules, and Louise. An urgent meeting and a surprising announcement—the winning of a substantial sum of money—challenge the family dynamics. The parents’ decision not to share the winnings with their children turns initial joy into a deep reflection on the relationship between money and affection, highlighting hidden rivalries and vulnerabilities.
