On August 29, 2027, the Verona Arena will host an evening of extraordinary artistic depth. Carl Orff’s monumental scenic cantata, Carmina Burana, will echo through the ancient stones, offering the audience an immersive experience in the heart of 20th-century classical music.
Composed between 1935 and 1936, the work draws inspiration from twenty-four medieval poems, exploring the universal themes of destiny and the cyclical nature of fortune. The famous O Fortuna movement, which frames the entire cycle, promises to envelop the audience in an atmosphere of unparalleled dramatic power.
