Commemoration of Saint Francis of Assisi in Sommacampagna

On October 4th, at 3:30 PM, the Sanctuary of Madonna del Monte in Sommacampagna will host a ceremony dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, marking the 800th anniversary of his passing. The event serves as a moment of reflection to honor a man who remains a symbol of peace, faith, and hope.

The commemoration, organized with the support of the Department of Culture and Fair Events of the Municipality of Sommacampagna, will feature an introduction by Father Alessandro Martini and greetings from Councilwoman Erika Venturelli. The program includes musical performances by the Sommacampagna Band and readings by Marta Quaini, within an atmosphere of contemplation promoted by the Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish and the Madonna del Monte Committee.
