Ascent to Monte Cadria: The Roof of Ledro Valley

A challenging but extremely rewarding hike that leads from Val Concei to the summit of Monte Cadria, the highest point in Ledro Valley. This loop trail offers breathtaking views and an immersion into Alpine nature.

The ascent begins through the woods of Val Concei, then opens up to alpine pastures and expanses of edelweiss. From the summit, the view sweeps 360 degrees over Lake Ledro, the surrounding mountains and Val Concei. During the summer, the valley comes alive with grazing cows and the characteristic whistle of marmots.

Along the way, you will encounter Malga Cadria, Malga Vies, and the cross dedicated to Lieutenant Felix Hecht von Eleda, a testimony to the First World War, of which traces can still be observed. The last stretch to the summit is narrow and exposed, recommended for experienced hikers.
