Ledro Alps Trek: From Bivacco Arcioni to Rifugio Pernici
A historical hike in the heart of the Ledro Alps, retracing the paths of the First World War. This route offers breathtaking views of Lake Ledro and passes through places rich in history and nature.
- Route: From Bivacco Arcioni (starting point) follow the SAT 460B path or the military path towards Cima Rocca. Then continue on path SAT 417 to Rocchetta and then on path SAT 413 to Rifugio Pernici. Possibility of detours to Cima d’Oro, Cima Sclapa and Cima Parì.
- Highlights: Panoramic view of Lake Ledro, remains of Austro-Hungarian trenches and a military hospital, lush alpine flora in the meadows of Dromaè and Saval.
- Rifugio Pernici: Possibility to refresh and stay overnight in an old Austrian barracks.
Tips: Route suitable for experienced hikers. It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks.
