Gino Pancheri. Female Figures in Tenno

From September 6th to November 8th, the Casa degli Artisti «Giacomo Vittone» in Tenno presents the exhibition “Gino Pancheri. Female Figures”. Curated by Roberta Bonazza, the event continues the exploration of the theme of women in art, focusing on the work of the Trentino painter Gino Pancheri (1905-1943).

The exhibition brings together a selection of works portraying women in their daily lives, captured in suspended and contemplative atmospheres. These silent figures reveal the artist’s gentle and intense poetic vision. The itinerary allows visitors to rediscover Pancheri’s research on form and color, including a small section dedicated to landscapes, another central theme in his artistic production.

Pancheri, who trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, developed his painting style significantly during the 1930s, influenced by encounters with personalities such as Giacomo Manzù and Carlo Carrà. In 1938, he moved to Tuscany, seeking broader landscapes and warmer tones, a creative journey that was prematurely interrupted in 1943.
