The Museum of Madonnari in Curtatone pays tribute to its roots with the exhibition Grazie 1973: the time of a Sigh. This precious exhibition, originating from a generous donation by Giorgio Rampi, brings to light unpublished black and white photographs, serving as an authentic testament to the first edition of the National Meeting of Madonnari, held on August 15, 1973.
Curated by Paola Artoni and Michela Garatti, with an installation by artists Andrea Grespi and Claudio Pirisi, the exhibition explores the documentary value of an ephemeral art form that has found its ideal home in Grazie. The title plays with memory: a reference to the sigh of emotion when recalling the origins of this tradition, and a tribute to the Photographic Group of Sospiro, which captured these historic images.
