The tradition of the Krampus, figures from Alpine folklore characterized by demonic masks, frightening features, and long horns, returns to the Vallagarina area. Throughout December, the region hosts several opportunities to witness these creatures, which parade alongside Saint Nicholas in a captivating blend of legend and local culture.
The schedule includes a parade in Calliano on December 4th at 18:30 in Piazza Italia. The historic center of Rovereto will host a parade on December 8th at 18:00, organized by the Zimbra Taifelì Association. Finally, on December 12th, the village of Camposilvano in Vallarsa will feature a performance by the “Zimbar Taifel” Krampus Group, organized by the Pro Loco of Vallarsa.
