La Gabriella e le ragazze. Storie di Tina Anselmi in Grezzana

On November 28th at 8:30 PM, the Cinema Teatro Valpantena in Grezzana will host the performance “La Gabriella e le ragazze. Storie di Tina Anselmi”. The event invites the audience to reflect on Italy’s recent history through the stories of Lina and Irene, two textile workers in the Treviso area. On the night between December 8th and 9th, 1977, the two women decided to occupy a spinning mill while waiting for the approval of the Anselmi Law on equal pay.

Through this narrative, profound themes such as exploitation, violence, solidarity, and resistance emerge, giving a voice to women’s struggles for dignity and equality. The figure of Tina Anselmi, a friend of Lina and a prominent protagonist of Italian political history, guides the viewer through the memory of her civil commitment. The play serves as a tribute to memory and courage, encouraging reflection on the relevance of the fight for gender equality. The event is organized by Cinema Teatro Valpantena.
