The Casa Museo Zani in Cellatica presents the exhibition “Magnifica Eleganza. Tiepolo, Longhi e Guardi tra arte e moda”, open to the public from September 12 to December 6, 2026. Set up in the new Exhibition Hall, the show brings together thirty-six works including drawings and paintings by renowned masters such as Giambattista Tiepolo, Pietro Longhi, Francesco Guardi, and Pietro Antonio Rotari.
The exhibition creates a fascinating dialogue between painting and fashion history. It features precious original 18th-century garments exhibited for the first time, alongside costumes created by Danilo Donati for Federico Fellini’s film “Casanova” (1976), which won an Oscar in 1977. Through the precisely depicted details in the paintings, the exhibition highlights how Venetian masters were keen observers of the social codes and fashion transformations of the 18th century.
