Mantua and Sabbioneta for all: heritage becomes inclusive

On September 25th, the areas of Monzambano and Sabbioneta will host a significant event focused on cultural accessibility. Mantua and Sabbioneta for all aims to dismantle the barriers that often separate visitors from the historical richness of the UNESCO site.

The event will feature the unveiling of new tactile maps and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) guides, developed through a collaboration between local institutions, FabLab Mantova, and the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired. These tools, which will be donated to the Mantova and Sabbioneta Heritage Centre, mark a concrete step toward responsible and accessible tourism.

The cultural program also includes the presentation of the comic book Vespasiano and Sabbioneta: what a story!, created by the Spazio Autismo group, and the screening of the video Note di Passaggio. These initiatives, part of the Mantua, Sabbioneta and the Lands of the Gonzaga festival, demonstrate how territorial cooperation can transform heritage into a shared experience for everyone.
