Ostinata, con brio: a tribute to Antonia Brico in Baselga di Piné

The Centro Congressi Piné 1000 in Baselga di Piné hosts the show Ostinata, con brio, a performance dedicated to the life and career of Antonia Louisa Brico. The event takes place on November 14, 2026, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Produced by Luna e GNAC Teatro, the show recounts the journey of one of the first women to pursue a career as an orchestra conductor. Born in 1902 and raised in the United States, Antonia discovered her passion for music at a young age, challenging the gender norms of a male-dominated world. Her path spanned across the United States and Europe during the turbulent years of the Great Depression and World War II. The play, written and performed by Federica Molteni and directed by Sergio Mascherpa, portrays a story of talent, ambition, and the relentless struggle for professional recognition.

The event is organized by the Biblioteca di Baselga di Piné. Admission is 8.00 euro.
