Ramo Radice Ruvido: The Art of Giovanna Gazzi in San Benedetto Po

The abbey of San Benedetto Po hosts the exhibition project by Giovanna Gazzi, titled RAMO RADICE RUVIDO, from September 5th to 27th. The artist presents a selection of earthenware sculptures inspired by the native trees of the Po Valley.

Gazzi’s formal research focuses on those specimens that display, through their structure, the indelible marks of time and resilience. The observation of barks, cavities, and fibers becomes an exercise in introspection, where void and mass meet in a tactile and profound narrative. The artist, with a solid academic background gained in Verona, translates her botanical expertise into a contemporary sculptural dimension.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, September 11th, at 5:00 PM. A session of particular interest is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, at 11:00 AM, featuring a guided tour in the presence of the artist and curator Alfredo Sigolo. The exhibition is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, offering an opportunity for cultural reflection in one of the most evocative villages in the Mantuan area.
