ROOTS | Femo filò con la valisa in man: stories of emigration in Lessinia

On November 21st, at 09:30 AM, the Museo Luxino in Bosco Chiesanuova will host the event ROOTS | Femo filò con la valisa in man: quando la Lessinia partiva. This gathering is an opportunity to reflect on the stories of those who left the Lessinia region in search of work and new opportunities.

Following the tradition of the old filò, attendees will listen to personal testimonies, memories, and stories of families who emigrated abroad. The project aims to rediscover experiences passed down through family memory, exploring themes such as departure, the journey, nostalgia, life far from home, work, the difficulties of integration, and, for some, the return.

The initiative is part of the VERONA ROOTS FESTIVAL, a project co-financed by the National Tourism Fund, 2026. The event is organized by IAT Lessinia – Tourist Information and Hospitality Office.
