From March 9th to 13th, 2027, the Teatro Nuovo in Verona hosts a true classic of modern comedy. Francis Veber’s The Dinner Game (Le dîner de cons) returns to the stage, bringing back the sharp wit that turned this play into a global cult phenomenon since its 1993 debut.
The story follows a group of wealthy friends who host a weekly dinner where each member must bring along a “special” guest—someone they deem foolish—solely to mock them throughout the night. Successful publisher Pierre Brochant thinks he has found the perfect target in François Pignon, a civil servant. Yet, the tables are turned as Pignon inadvertently dismantles Brochant’s life in a series of hilarious and chaotic mishaps.
