Vertical Crazidei: A Vertical Adventure on Monte Rocchetta
Immerse yourself in a challenging hike that will take you to the summit of Monte Rocchetta, the symbolic mountain of Riva del Garda. This route, known as the “Crazidei” ascent, offers breathtaking views and technical sections that will test your skills.
- Starting point: Foci/Santa Maria Maddalena.
- Route: Start with an easy path to the Torrione di San Giovanni along the historic “Strada della Pinza”. Then take the steep climb on the left with about 95 switchbacks leading to the base of Cima Sat. Continue through the forest to Cima Giochello.
- Return: Follow the path back for a stretch, then follow the signs for Riva del Garda towards Bocca d’Enzima and the “Fontanoni”. Descend to the Belvedere della Grola and finally to Santa Maria Maddalena.
- Points of interest: Cima Sat, Cima Giochello, Bocca d’Enzima, Belvedere della Grola, Bastione.
- Warnings: Make sure you have adequate water supplies, as there are no water points along the route. Pay attention to the steep hairpin turns, especially in bad weather.
