Fifty years after the opening of the “Ottorino Marangoni” via ferrata in Montalbano and the “Gerardo Sega” via ferrata in Avio, the SAT sections of Mori and Avio are hosting a national conference dedicated to the role of via ferratas in the contemporary mountain landscape. The event will take place on October 17th at the “Ex Galetera” municipal hall in Mori, starting at 2:30 PM.
The meeting will bring together institutions, technicians, scholars, and industry professionals to discuss key issues such as safety, technical and regulatory aspects, environmental protection, and responsible management. The debate will also cover the relationship between via ferratas, the landscape, and local tourism development. The day will conclude with a round table moderated by journalist Fabrizio Torchio.
