55th Sacred Music Festival in Riva del Garda: An Emotional Journey

The 55th Sacred Music Festival is set to enchant Garda Trentino with two unmissable events, blending spirituality and beauty in an unforgettable sonic experience. On May 10, 2026, prepare for a journey through centuries of sacred music.

The festival will begin in the evocative baroque church of Santa Croce del Bleggio, where the “La Sorgente” Choir, conducted by Erica Eccli, will create a dialogue between music and sacred space, accompanied by cello, lute, and organ, in an anthology spanning from the Renaissance to the present day.

The second event will transform Riva del Garda into a symphonic-vocal stage with the performance of Gaetano Donizetti’s Requiem Mass, part of the “The Other Face of the Sacred” project. The Philharmonic of Trento and the singers of Voci all’Opera (SMAG), together with the Coro In Dulci Jubilo and the Coro St. Maximilian of Munich, will bring to life an internationally resonant soundscape in the Church of San Giuseppe.

Composed in memory of Vincenzo Bellini, Donizetti’s Requiem Mass promises an intense and emotional musical experience, blending liturgical solemnity and romantic drama. An event that unites local roots and international horizons, not to be missed.
