Agricultural and Food Biodiversity Festival: A Sensory Journey in Valle dei Laghi

In the vibrant heart of Trentino, the Valle dei Laghi prepares to host an event celebrating the very essence of life: the Agricultural and Food Biodiversity Festival. From June 3 to 7, 2026, an invisible thread will weave together nature, people, and traditions, inviting us to rediscover the invaluable richness of our territory.

Promoted by the Biodistrict in collaboration with the Office for Organic Productions, this festival is an opportunity to view the surrounding landscape with fresh eyes. It is not merely a list of appointments, but a genuine experiential journey connecting healthy food culture with sustainable agriculture, local craftsmanship, and conscious tourism.

Each day will offer unique insights. The festival begins with a ‘BookDrink’ at Cantina Gino Pedrotti, where literature meets the pleasure of an aperitif. This will be followed by in-depth discussions on balanced viticulture at Cantina Toblino, focusing on the link between land, wine, and biodiversity, guided by expert enologists. The program expands with ‘zero-mile’ cooking workshops, light trekking among wild herbs accompanied by aperitifs that highlight local produce, and a ‘Taste Lab’ dedicated to mountain food. There will also be engaging biotrekking sessions, training courses on the value of biodiversity for agriculture, and even a “Nosiola Express”, a charming train journey through the Valle dei Laghi wineries to sample wines that tell the region’s story.

The Biodiversity Festival is an invitation to reflect on the living heritage that belongs to us all, an occasion to meet, listen, and share. It is a celebration of that profound connection between ecosystems, traditions, and the future, a legacy that our everyday choices can help to preserve.
