To the Passo della Morte: An Immersion in Nature and Legend in Comano Terme

A suggestive hike that winds through the wooded slopes of the “Godesi”, offering panoramic views and an experience in contact with unspoiled nature. This route will lead you to the discovery of places rich in history and culture, far from the chaos of the city.

The itinerary starts in Comano Paese, passing the hotel “La Panoramica” and reaching the area equipped for the Alpini festivals. Continue on a flat road that enters the forest, up to the crossroads marked by SAT 411. Here, take the path on the right for Passo della Morte, crossing a pine forest and reaching the “Caputèl de le Anime”, a chapel built in the 17th century.

The route continues through the steep slopes of the “Godesi”, offering a breathtaking view of the valley and the Limarò Canyon. You then reach the “Passo della Morte” (843 m), a panoramic point rich in history and legends. The descent continues towards the “Bivio del Casale”, following the signs for Sarche and Motte. You reach the Casina Forestale and the “Malga-Maso Casale”, and then descend towards the “Romitorio”, a panoramic point with a view of Monte Bondone and the “Piccolo Daìn”.

The return is via the same route as the outward journey. Alternatively, you can go down to Sarche and return to Ponte Arche by public transport, leaving the car in Ponte Arche.
