Arcobonsai: Bonsai Art Meets the Flavors of Trentino in Garda

Founded in 1985, Arcobonsai has become a key event in the European bonsai scene, celebrated as the most important Italian event in the sector. From April 24th to 26th, Arco will host the XXXX edition of Arcobonsai, a benchmark event for bonsai and suiseki enthusiasts.

The event will take place in the halls of the Municipal Casino, in the surrounding gardens and at the Palatennis, offering exhibitions, demonstrations and a specialized market. This year, Arcobonsai will host the XXIX Congress of the U.B.I. – Unione Bonsaisti Italiani, which has chosen Arco for the ninth time as the venue for its congress. The guiding theme of this edition is the Japanese symbol of friendship.

The program includes high-level demonstrations with leading figures such as Mauro Stemberger, Salvatore Liporace, Donato Danisi, Sandro Segneri, Xec Fernández and Filippo Biscontin. Cultural and educational reports will also be presented, also dedicated to suiseki. During the event, the contest for the selection of the 2026 Italian Talent and the traditional plant processing competition will take place, valid for the assignment of the Arcobonsai Trophy.

Alongside bonsai and suiseki, this year’s edition will also welcome the world of orchids, thanks to the presence of the Libera Associazione Garda Orchidee APS, with a dedicated exhibition and demonstrations. In support of Arcobonsai 2026, a collateral event will be organized to promote the flavors and products of the area. The “Village of Trentino Flavors” in Piazza Segantini will offer typical dishes prepared on the spot, while in Piazza delle Canoniche Coldiretti exhibitors will offer Trentino fruit and vegetable products, wines, cheeses, cured meats, Zambana asparagus, aromatic herbs and other local excellences. In the Viali delle Palme and delle Magnolie there will be an area dedicated to the sale of plants, bonsai, flowers and accessories, with exhibitors from Italy and abroad. The event is organized by Arcobonsai Club Garda Trentino in collaboration with Assocentro.
