The Bishop’s Palace of Monteforte d’Alpone is preparing to host “Authors at the Palace”, a cultural event celebrating narrative, poetry, and the love of reading. On April 18th and 19th, 2026, the municipality, in collaboration with the Library Commission, will transform the palace into a lively center for literary encounters.
The program includes two intense days, full of appointments with authors, engaging readings, creative workshops for children and teenagers, and a solidarity used book market, created in collaboration with the Il Fiore social cooperative. The goal is to promote book culture and create an opportunity for writers, readers, and literature enthusiasts to meet, with a particular focus on new generations.
Saturday, April 18th, will be dedicated to the youngest, with activities in the Salone Ermolao Barbaro and the Sala Giberti. Beatrice Roberti will offer readings with workshops for children, while Chiara Cacco will be interviewed by the Amici tra le pagine reading group for teenagers. Psychologist Martina Fiorio will present her volume, aimed at parents and educators. The evening will conclude with Andrea Ciresola, who will present his new thriller novel, accompanied by the electric harmonica of Alberto Costantini.

On Sunday, April 19th, the Salone Ermolao Barbaro will host the Poetic Afternoon, a meeting dedicated to the presentation of poetry collections with Marco Bolla, Orio Grazia, Fabio Santi, Marilisa Dal Bon, and Lino Bertolas. The presentations will be interspersed with musical pieces performed by Nicola Ruffo.
