From September 18, 2026, to January 6, 2027, the Rocca di Lonato del Garda hosts a visual tribute of rare sensitivity to our region. The exhibition Benàcus: Lake Garda and its hills in the photographs of Giorgio Attilio Mutti, curated by Costanza Lunardi, invites visitors on a contemplative journey through the changing seasons.

The exhibition features fifty photographs taken over forty years by photographer Giorgio Attilio Mutti. The author’s lens goes beyond capturing the most iconic views, instead exploring an intimate and silent landscape where nature reveals itself through woodlands, wildflowers, and local wildlife. From spring blossoms to the winter vistas of the Pilandro, each image serves as a testament to the richness and fragility of the Lake Garda ecosystem.

This project, realized with the support of the photographer’s family, is inspired by the book Benàcus mater temporis. The exhibition serves as an invitation to rediscover the beauty surrounding us with a mindful and attentive gaze. Visitors can explore the collection in the Sala del Capitano; the 6 euro entrance fee includes access to the entire Rocca complex.
