Biodiversity and nature in Trentino: a conference in Baselga di Piné

On October 29, 2026, Baselga di Piné will host the conference Biodiversity and nature in Trentino at the Congress Center and the LAC Library. Organized by the Comitato Laghi, the event marks the fortieth anniversary of Provincial Law no. 14 of June 23, 1986, which established biotopes to protect the region’s natural, scientific, and cultural heritage.

The program, running from 08:45 to 18:00, includes a morning session focused on scientific and regulatory discussions, covering the evolution from the establishment of biotopes to the Natura 2000 Network, while examining the conservation status of flora and fauna. The afternoon will feature thematic round tables exploring the strategic roles of water, agriculture, forests, and high mountain ecosystems in biodiversity conservation.

The day will conclude with a public discussion on the future of environmental preservation. Registration is required by Friday, October 23. Professional credits are available for members of the Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors.
