ECOS: Soundscapes and memory at the MUSE in Trento

On October 25, 2026, Trento will host ECOS. Soundscapes in Ecomuseums at the MUSE – Science Museum. This event celebrates the sounds that define the cultural identity and environmental heritage of the Trentino region, marking the conclusion of a two-year research project promoted by the Network of Ecomuseums of Trentino in collaboration with the Caritro Foundation.

The day begins at 9:00 AM with a round table discussion focusing on the importance of listening, sound mapping, and landscape preservation. From 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, visitors can enjoy experiential activities, screenings, and soundwalks in the MUSE Park, designed to explore the connection between music, nature, and collective memory.

The evening continues at 8:00 PM with a presentation of the Ecomuseums Sound Map, followed at 8:30 PM by a sound performance by Sebastiano Beozzo. This concert, featuring the Chansonnier orchestra of the F. A. Bonporti Conservatory of Trento and Riva del Garda directed by Andrea Raffanini, blends strings, vocals, and electronics to narrate traditions and human presence. All activities are free of charge, with some sessions requiring prior registration.
