From October 9th to 11th, 2026, the city of Brescia will host the first edition of the Brescia History Festival. The event will take place at the Teatro Grande and will be dedicated to “Fatal Days,” those crucial moments that marked turning points in human history, redefining geopolitical borders and transforming the identities of peoples and cultures.
The program consists of three days featuring eight sessions with prominent historians, writers, and communicators, including Michela Ponzani, Anna Foa, Federico Canaccini, Lisa Roscioni, Luciano Canfora, and Alessandra Bucossi. The sessions will be enriched by readings from actress Elena Vanni and a special closing event with Paolo Di Paolo. Promoted by the Fondazione del Teatro Grande and Editori Laterza, the festival follows the experience of “Lezioni di Storia” to explore the causes and consequences of revolutions, wars, and major discoveries.
