Bridge Film Festival: Cinema comes alive in Verona’s Filippini district

The Filippini district in Verona prepares to host the thirteenth edition of the Bridge Film Festival, an event that transforms historical corners into vibrant stages. From July 7th to 12th, 2026, the festival offers a dense program of feature films, performances, and masterclasses under the provocative theme “Skin Care”.

The event unfolds across locations of timeless charm such as the Antica Dogana di fiume, the Teatro Satiro Off, and the Ex Macello. This edition’s central theme explores the skin not merely as an organ, but as an identity barrier and a mirror of a society obsessed with appearances. The festival provides a deep look at current topics, from climate change to relationship dynamics, with a special focus on emerging talents and international premieres.

The “Cittadella del Festival” actively involves the urban fabric, creating a constant dialogue between cinema and the local area. Between meetings with directors, live soundscapes along the Adige river, and art exhibitions, the Bridge Film Festival establishes itself as a necessary moment of collective reflection, blending cinematic excellence with an authentic experience in the heart of Verona. Participation requires official pre-membership, inviting the public to immerse themselves in a week of cultural discovery in one of the city’s most evocative neighborhoods.
