Daniele Fabbri’s stand-up comedy arrives in Verona on April 12, 2026, with “Clitoridere,” a satirical and irreverent monologue that challenges commonplaces. Hosted at the Cinema Nuovo San Michele, the show represents a unique opportunity to reflect on sexual taboos and social hypocrisy through the power of liberating laughter.
In 1559, a doctor, while visiting a patient, noticed a very small protuberance on the upper part of the female genitalia, which he had never heard of. When he announced to the Faculty of Medicine that he had discovered an almost invisible anatomical part in women, which, if stimulated, “causes strange nervous spasms,” the doctor was arrested for “witchcraft and heresy.”
Today, there is no longer the Inquisition, but the way we talk about sex is not very different: the debate is very censored, school sex education is a mirage, and those who insist on talking about it use serious, medical, and political tones. And so we forget that sex is above all a fun thing, and in fact laughter is the best approach to dealing with certain topics, sexuality and comedy have one important thing in common: pleasure.

“Clitoridere” is a show that addresses the taboos of sex with jokes, so we could say that it is an evening of oral sex. The goal is, of course, to enjoy: to enjoy the freedom to talk about it openly, not to provoke but to “be provocative.” Far from commonplaces and caricature language, Daniele Fabbri in his monologue tells anecdotes, analyzes words, shares scientific and historical curiosities related to the sexual sphere and above all our way of relating to it, halfway between adolescent immaturity and self-censorship for good behavior. All this not only to counter a lack of awareness on the subject, but above all to put into practice the main purpose of comedy and also of sex, that is, to give us moments of pleasure.
DANIELE FABBRI Born in 1982, a pioneer of Italian Standup Comedy, author, podcaster. He loves swear words but not vulgarity, he uses colorful language not to scandalize, but to create an informal and therefore more fun relationship with the public. In 2023 he won the Satira Forte Dei Marmi award for Standup Comedy. Sued by Giorgia Meloni for an episode of his satirical podcast (case currently in progress), he launched the initiative “Defendi La Satira” to support comedians against the phenomenon of intimidating lawsuits or SLAPP.
