The Camploy Theatre in Verona is preparing to host the eleventh edition of “The City of Jazz”, an event curated by the Bigband Ritmosinfonica in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona. Under the artistic direction of Marco Pasetto and the technical direction of Paolo Girardi, the festival is a landmark for genre enthusiasts, having hosted big bands, jazz bands, gospel choirs, and groups from Musical Conservatories over the years. This year, “The City of Jazz” celebrates the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis, a key figure in the history of jazz and popular music. Trumpeter, composer, and innovator, Davis left an indelible mark on cool jazz, hard bop, modal jazz, and jazz-rock. The concluding evening will feature a performance by participants in the third 2026 jazz music course, organized by the Big Band Ritmo Sinfonica. A century of jazz enriches Verona’s cultural offerings, providing a unique musical experience. Admission is free while seats last.
