Flowing waters: art, nature and the science of water in Trento

From October 10, 2026, to May 2, 2027, the Palazzo delle Albere in Trento will host the exhibition “Flowing waters. Art, nature and the science of water around us”.

Part of the European STARTS (Science, Technology and the Arts) program, the exhibition presents works by contemporary artists who explore natural phenomena, technological processes and environmental transformations related to water. Their creations will interact with modern and contemporary works from the Mart and public and private collections.

The exhibition, spread over two floors of the palace, offers a cross-cutting perspective on the relationship between art, nature and knowledge. Through juxtapositions between different eras and languages, the exhibition illustrates how artists from different periods have interpreted and represented the link between human communities and water. An opportunity to reflect on our relationship with this vital element, in a context of beauty and intellectual stimulation.
