Starting from the heart of Riva del Garda (65 m), you’ll immediately face a steep climb on the SAT 418 trail, quickly gaining altitude on the slopes of Monte Rocchetta. The effort will be richly rewarded by the panoramic views that open up along the way.
The absence of refreshment points along the route requires adequate preparation: make sure you have enough water and snacks with you to tackle the entire hike. Near the Rifugio Pernici (1600 m), you can explore the trenches and testimonies of the First World War, which testify to the strategic importance of this area.
