GardaTrek – Top Loop 5: A Journey Through History and Nature

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable hike that will take you from the peaks of Monte Stivo, with its alpine pastures and mountain pines, to the shores of Lake Garda, among chestnut groves and ancient olive trees. This route, part of the GardaTrek, offers a unique experience through breathtaking landscapes and historical testimonies.

Starting from an altitude of 2000 meters, you will gradually descend to 220 meters in Nago, admiring the transformation of the landscape: from high mountain pastures to lush forests, to the Mediterranean vegetation that characterizes the shores of the lake.

The SAT 637 trail will lead you to discover the trenches and barracks dating back to the Great War, a real village hidden among the vegetation, with observation points that offer unforgettable views of Lake Garda. In Nago, you can conclude the trek or prepare for the last, challenging stage towards the D. Chiesa refuge on Monte Altissimo.
