Route Description:
Starting from Nago-Torbole, you will follow the SAT 601 trail, part of the evocative Sentiero della Pace (Path of Peace), which retraces the symbolic places of the Great War. Along the way, you will cross Malga Zures, witness to bloody battles and custodian of an intricate system of underground fortifications. As you gain altitude, you will enter the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park, a protected biodiversity oasis.
The final climb will lead you to the Rifugio Altissimo Damiano Chiesa, from which you can admire an unparalleled view of Garda Trentino and the entire lake. Remember to bring water and supplies with you, as there are no refreshment points along the way.
