Gargnano Reads: An Invitation to Discovery Among Pages and the Lake

Amidst the charming settings of Lake Garda, Gargnano is preparing to host the second edition of “Gargnano che legge” (Gargnano Reads), an independent publishing fair that promises to enchant lovers of books and culture. This event, promoted by the Department of Culture, will take place on May 30 and 31, 2026, offering an immersive experience into the world of words and ideas.

The elegant spaces of the Cloister of San Francesco and the former Municipal Building, located in the lively Piazza Feltrinelli, will become the beating heart of this event. Here, twenty-two publishing houses and associations will showcase their editorial offerings, a journey through diverse genres and voices that reflect the richness of the independent literary scene. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse volumes, discover new authors, and engage directly with publishers, fostering an authentic connection with those who bring stories to life.

“Gargnano che legge” is not merely an exhibition, but a true hub of cultural encounters. The program includes meetings with authors, in-depth discussions, and debates designed to stimulate reflection and personal enrichment.
