Grand Carnival of Nago and Sbigolada: A Century-Old Tradition

The Grand Carnival of Nago, an unmissable event in the Garda Trentino, is ready to celebrate its edition on February 17th. Organized with passion by the Nago Carnival Committee, under the guidance of Mr. Rosà Illuminato and with the patronage of the Municipality of Nago-Torbole, this event transforms the town center, especially Piazzola, into a lively stage of celebration.

The history of the Nago Carnival is rooted in a distant past, almost a century ago, when a group of volunteers began distributing a modest amount of pasta to children. Since then, the event has grown exponentially, reaching the point of distributing 5 quintals of spaghetti with ragù, a gesture of generosity and sharing that embodies the spirit of the carnival.

The event promises fun for all ages, with masked parades, music, dances and, of course, the inevitable sbigolada, a traditional dish that represents the heart of the festival. An opportunity to immerse yourself in local traditions and live an authentic experience in the heart of Garda Trentino.
