Guitarras pal sur: A musical journey from Argentina to Riva del Garda

The “Paesaggi Sonori – Musiche dal mondo” festival arrives in Riva del Garda, offering an internationally resonant concert. On May 9, 2026, Vezzano will host two extraordinary interpreters of contemporary guitar: Yamandu Costa and Facundo Rodríguez.

Yamandu Costa, a Brazilian virtuoso of the seven-string guitar and Latin Grammy Award winner, is celebrated for his refined technique and profound expressiveness. Alongside him, Facundo Rodríguez, an Argentine guitarist and composer, explores the musical traditions of the Litoral, representing a new generation of musicians capable of renewing the language of South American guitar.

The concert promises a dialogue between cultures and musical styles, uniting choro, tango, milonga, and the typical sounds of South America in a weave of rhythms and suggestions. The event takes on particular significance in the context of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the great Italian migration to Argentina, realized in collaboration with the Associazione Trentini nel Mondo.
