“Inside Macbeth” Theatre Workshop with Paul Goodwin in Verona

The Teatro Satiro Off in Verona will host an immersive day dedicated to Shakespeare’s work on April 26, 2026, with the workshop “Inside Macbeth”, led by Paul Goodwin. This event is designed for professional actors, students, and performers who wish to refine their vocal, textual, and acting skills.

The day will be divided into two sessions: the morning will be dedicated to physical and vocal warm-up, with exercises on an assigned text. In the afternoon, participants will work on an individual text, prepared after the morning session, and interpret it at the end of the day. The goal is to provide a practical methodology for giving voice to Shakespearean text, integrating voice and text into daily practice.

Paul Goodwin, an internationally renowned actor and director, will share his experience and his acclaimed solo performance of Macbeth. The workshop is a unique opportunity to explore the psychological intricacies of the character, with a focus on the relationship between the original text, contemporary directorial vision, and the practice of the solo actor.

The event is part of the activities related to the production of Casa Shakespeare’s Macbeth and represents a high-level training opportunity. To complete the course, on April 29, Goodwin will present his show “Macbeth (Solo)” at the Teatro Satiro Off.

The workshop will be held in English. Participation is limited (max 20 participants) and requires sending a short artistic CV and a description of your theatrical experience to [email protected] Concessions are available for Casa Shakespeare collaborators.
