In Mantua, Palazzo Te celebrates its 500th anniversary with the world premiere of ‘All That Changes You. Metamorphosis’, a new multi-screen film installation by Isaac Julien. Curated by Lorenzo Giusti, the work transforms the renovated spaces of the palace’s Fruttiere. The film, shot at Palazzo Te, stars Sheila Atim and Gwendoline Christie, who play celestial entities inspired by the palace’s frescoes. ‘All That Changes You. Metamorphosis’ explores themes of metamorphosis, philosophy, anthropology, and ecology, drawing inspiration from Giulio Romano’s masterpiece. The settings include Charles Jencks’ Cosmic House in London and the forests of Redwood National and State Park in California.
