Italian Windsurfer Championship in Torbole: The Legacy of the One-Design Windsurf

Circolo Surf Torbole is preparing to host a significant event in the Italian sailing scene: the Italian Windsurfer Championship, scheduled for 2026. This championship celebrates the history of the Windsurfer, the one-design windsurf that marked an era starting in the 70s and which, after an innovative revision in 2018, is experiencing a second youth. The location is no coincidence: Torbole has a long tradition in windsurfing, having hosted prestigious competitions such as the European Championship in 1980, several editions of the Italian Championships, the Windsurfer World Trophy in 2018 and 2019, and the European Championships in 2024. The 2026 edition promises to be an unmissable event for fans, an opportunity to admire the evolutions of windsurfers and to celebrate a boat that has made the history of this sport. Garda Trentino, with its constant winds and breathtaking landscape, will offer the ideal setting for this competition.
