Jurassic Miles Endurance Run: Following Dinosaur Footprints in Rovereto

Imagine running where dinosaurs once roamed. The Jurassic Miles Endurance Run (JMER) in Rovereto offers you this incredible opportunity. Launched in 2023 with the support of the Municipality of Rovereto, the event combines sport and promotion of the territory, with a special focus on the Dinosaur Footprints site. The 2025 edition will be held on September 19th and 20th.

JMER offers three distances: 100 miles (160 km with 4,200 m elevation gain), 50 miles (80 km with 2,100 m elevation gain) and 27 km (700 m elevation gain), with loop courses (Out&Back) that start and finish at the Baita degli Alpini. An innovative format, with low elevation changes, a rarity in the Italian and European landscape. The race offers a unique experience, suitable for both experienced athletes and those who want to challenge themselves.

In addition to the sporting competition, the Rovereto Vallagarina and Monte Baldo Tourist Board, in collaboration with the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation, is organising themed events. Not to be missed on Friday, September 19th, is the night sky observation with experts, a free activity (weather permitting). To reach the meeting point, a free shuttle service is available from Piazza Achille Leoni to Santa Barbara (Costa Violina).
