From June 25 to September 11, 2027, the Arena di Verona hosts the 104th Arena di Verona Opera Festival, featuring the return of La Traviata. Giuseppe Verdi’s three-act opera, with a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, is presented in a production by Scottish director Paul Curran, transporting the audience to early 20th-century Paris.
The production offers an accurate historical reconstruction, enriched by spectacular elements such as the representation of the Moulin Rouge. The plot follows the famous love story between Violetta Valery and Alfredo Germont, a tale of passion, misunderstanding, and tragic destiny that continues to move audiences of every generation.
