Hiking to the Peaks of Monte Baldo from Malcesine

Embark on an unforgettable adventure to discover the most spectacular peaks of Monte Baldo, starting from Malcesine. This route will lead you through breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled views of Lake Garda.

The itinerary begins at the upper station of the Malcesine Monte Baldo Cable Car. Follow trail 651 south, passing the Pozza della Stella ski lift and reaching Cima Pozzette. Then continue towards Cima del Longino and Cima Valdritta, tackling a short equipped section just before the summit. Don’t miss the detour to the highest peak of Monte Baldo, reachable in just 15 minutes from the main path.

Continue on trail 651 to the Telegrafo “Gaetano Barana” Refuge, managed by Equipe Natura. Before leaving, check the refuge’s opening hours. For the return, several options are available, including the descent to Località Due Pozze, the Val Trovai road, or trail number 5 to San Michele. Alternatively, you can opt for the return route or stay overnight at the refuge.
