Momenti decisivi: photography talks in Verona

The historic venue of Porta Palio in Verona hosts “Momenti decisivi”, a series of meetings dedicated to authorial photography. The project is organized by the Associazione Culturale Quinta Parete in collaboration with Studio Ennevi and the Società di Mutuo Soccorso Porta Palio, with sessions led by Matteo Mauli.

Taking place every Friday from October 30th to November 13th at 8:45 PM, the series examines photography as a tool for understanding reality through the work of three masters. The first session focuses on Sebastião Salgado and his documentation of human and social conditions. The second evening features Letizia Battaglia, a key figure in Italian photojournalism, renowned for her profound gaze on Palermo and social life. The cycle concludes with the work of Abbas, a photojournalist who explored the intersection of individual, faith, politics, and history.
