Moments of Negligible (Un)happiness with Francesco Piccolo and Pif at the Salieri Theatre in Verona

The Salieri Theatre in Verona is preparing to host a special event: Francesco Piccolo, winner of the 2014 Strega Prize, and Pif, a well-known director and writer, will bring their acclaimed show “Moments of Negligible (Un)happiness” to the stage on February 15, 2026.

This show is a journey into the extraordinary nature of everyday life, illuminating brief episodes, recurring situations, and sudden thoughts that, when put together, accurately tell our way of life. Piccolo, one of the most authoritative contemporary writers, manages to suspend the time of the days, restoring value to what usually goes unnoticed. Pif’s participation introduces an additional dimension, with interactions that bring out personal stories and shared memories, making each date a unique and unrepeatable show.

The show is based on Piccolo’s books “Moments of Negligible Happiness”, “Moments of Negligible Unhappiness” and “Negligible Moments vol. 3”. On stage, the gaze shifts from great events to the exceptional nature of the ordinary: small annoyances, consolidated habits, automatic gestures and suspended questions. From the cake at children’s parties to the temperature of the water in the shower, every moment becomes an opportunity for recognition.

The pair, already protagonists of the film “Moments of Negligible Happiness”, give life to a story that is only apparently light, capable of crossing phobias, weaknesses and conformisms of our time without ever forcing the tone. The theatre thus becomes a space for mutual listening, in which written word and lived experience intertwine.
