The Arena of Verona is set to host a monumental production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco. As part of the 104th Arena di Verona Opera Festival, this staging features a visionary concept by Stefano Poda, who oversees direction, set design, and costumes.
The opera unfolds as a philosophical journey between humanism and technology, exploring the individual’s inner conflicts and the clash of nations. The narrative, depicting the Hebrew people’s enslavement in Babylon and the troubled romances of Fenena and Abigaile, finds its perfect setting in the Arena to unleash its choral power. The performance of the ‘Va Pensiero’ remains one of the most emotionally charged moments in the entire operatic repertoire.

Performances are scheduled between July and September 2027. To fully enjoy the experience, guests are advised to arrive at the amphitheatre well in advance. While there is no strict dress code, elegant attire is recommended for the stalls.
