For the 104th edition of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival, Verdi’s masterpiece Nabucco returns to the stage at the Arena amphitheatre in Verona. Directed by Stefano Poda, who also designed the sets and costumes, this production offers a poetic vision blending humanism and technology, framing the opera as a journey from conflict to reconciliation.
The drama explores the enslavement of the Jewish people and the intricate emotional entanglements involving Nabucco, Fenena, Abigaile, and Ismaele, set against the backdrop of conflicting faiths. A highlight of the performance remains the moving rendition of the Hebrew slaves’ chorus, the famous “Va Pensiero”.

Performances are scheduled for July 29, 2027, at 9:15 PM, and August 5, 15, 21, 27, as well as September 3 and 9, 2027, at 9:00 PM. Guests are advised to arrive at least one hour before the show starts. Elegant attire is preferred for seating in the stalls. Bringing food, drinks, or bulky items into the venue is prohibited.
