The Teatro Ristori in Verona hosts the national premiere of “Olympiade”, a work by the Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon curated by the Kor’sia collective. Twelve dancers celebrate the connection between dance and sport in a performance that promises to be an intense and reflective experience.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 17th at 8:30 PM. An hour before the debut, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the artists for an exclusive introduction to the show. Francesca Pedroni, in collaboration with Danza&Danza magazine, will lead the meeting in the Theater Foyer (2nd floor) at 7:30 PM, with free admission until seats are filled.
“Olympiade” explores competition, relationship, crossing, and identity through choreographic research that moves between memory and future. It is no coincidence that this work arrives in Verona in the Olympic year, a symbolic city of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games. The stage transforms into an athletic track, where moving bodies become a metaphor for a collective organism. The choreography, built in dialogue with the dancers, develops along with the dramaturgy of Gaia Clotilde Chernetich, the sets and lights by Eleonora Rodigari, the costumes by Luca Guarini, and the original music and arrangements by Alejandro de Rocha.
